1 cup plain kefir (unsweetened)
1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries) – fresh or frozen
1 medium banana (for sweetness and creaminess)
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
½ tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Pour the kefir into a blender. Add the berries, banana, sweetener (if using), and vanilla extract.
- Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more kefir or water.
- If you used fresh berries, toss in the ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass. Add optional toppings like chia seeds or granola if desired.
- Drink immediately for the best flavor and texture.
