1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1 medium apple, cored and chopped
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
Directions
- If using fresh cranberries, rinse them well. Core and chop the apple, and peel the banana if it’s not frozen.
- Combine the cranberries, apple, banana, almond milk, honey, maple syrup (if using), cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a blender.
- If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes.
- Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and the smoothie is smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately. You can garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top if desired.
