2 medium carrots
1 apple, cored
1-inch fresh ginger
1/2 cup orange juice or water
Ice cubes (optional)
Directions
- Peel and chop the carrot, core and chop the apple, and peel the banana.
- In a blender, combine the chopped carrot, apple, banana, spinach (if using), almond milk, honey or maple syrup (if desired), and ground cinnamon (if using).
- If you prefer a colder smoothie, add a few ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.
