2 cups raw pecan halves
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional for extra richness)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional for flavor)
Pinch of sea salt
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter (if using). Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add the pecans to the saucepan and stir gently until they are evenly coated with the maple syrup mixture.
- Spread the coated pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even roasting, until the pecans are golden and fragrant.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the pecans cool completely. They will become crisp as they cool.
- Once cooled, enjoy them immediately, or store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
